Amongst its aims, the Forum wishes to offer a voice and actively engage with culturally diverse hard-to-reach groups, promote better understanding between different religions and cultures within the borough and provide a channel through which communities can raise issues and their concerns.

The BMF exists to widen involvement and participation, welcoming representation from any individuals, groups or organisations that are from, or has an interest in the Black and Minority Ethnic Community.

Note: To obtain a copy of the information held about you please contact the Forum. The BMF ensures your information is:
- Used fairly, lawfully and transparently used for specified, explicit purposes
- Used in a way that is adequate, relevant and limited to only what is necessary
- Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date
- Kept for no longer than is necessary
- Handled in a way that ensures appropriate security, including protection against unlawful or unauthorised processing, access, loss, destruction or damage
Members of the Basingstoke Multicultural Forum (BMF)
- Receive regular mailings about the forum and activities
- Stay informed of new developments and opportunities
- Attend network gatherings, consultations and have the opportunity to participate in its working groups
- Have access to training, consultancy, mentoring projects and events
- Vote for a Trustee Committee at the AGM to take BMF vision forward
